Peer Review Process

All manuscripts submitted to JPAPS (Journal of Public Affairs and Political Studies) undergo a rigorous peer review process to ensure academic quality, originality, and relevance.

1.	Initial Screening: Each submission is first evaluated by the editorial team for suitability, completeness, and adherence to journal guidelines. Manuscripts that do not meet the basic requirements will be returned to authors for revision or rejected.
2.	Double-Blind Review: Eligible manuscripts are subjected to a double-blind peer review process, in which both the reviewers and authors remain anonymous. Each manuscript is reviewed by at least two independent experts in the relevant field.
3.	Review Criteria: Reviewers assess the manuscript’s originality, methodology, significance, clarity, and contribution to the field.
4.	Decision: Based on reviewers’ recommendations, the Editor-in-Chief makes one of the following decisions: Accept, Minor Revision, Major Revision, or Reject. Authors will be notified of the decision along with anonymous reviewers’ comments.
5.	Revision Process: Authors are given the opportunity to address reviewers’ feedback and submit a revised version. The revised manuscript may undergo further review if necessary.
6.	Timeframe: The typical turnaround time from submission to the first decision is 4–8 weeks, depending on reviewer availability and the complexity of the manuscript.
7.	Final Acceptance: Once all requirements are met, the manuscript is accepted for publication and scheduled for inclusion in the forthcoming issue.
